We are really looking forward to our Tango RETREAT with Amanda & Adrian Costa - learn and understand what the Urquiza Style is all about.
Our Tango hotel, the Jagstmühle (Jagst mill) lies in the heart of the beautiful Jagsttal (Jagst valley). Located in central Germany, the Jagstmühle is easily reached from many areas in the country, and all without too long a journey. (Next airport: Stuttgart).
Settle in to enjoy an intense & entertaining Tango vacation. This is our "Tango RETREAT": That's what we call these days in autumn, when we devote ourselves entirely to tango and its roots. Our motto belongs under the following theme: "Quality dancing & paying homage to the dance, as well as, some of the most famous Milongueros".
Amanda & Adrian Costa will be teaching all the intensive courses for advanced and experienced dancers.
We will have the opportunity to experience highly professional tango lessons in the unique ambience of our charming hotel: during the day in the floodlit hall on 100 sqm parquet floor, and in the evening with our atmospheric milongas. Lectures on musicality, video presentations and practicals complement this tango "RETREAT", immersing us in the culture and history of tango and the Urquiza Style in particular.
The hotel "Jagstmühle" was rebuilt many years ago into a cosy country inn, and in recent years has been further extended to include a modern garden house with luxurious guest rooms. Our hotel is secluded and very quiet, located on the Jagst, a tranquil little river. In the area, we can find many attractions to visit along the Romantic Road and the German Castle Road. Picturesque towns such as Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Schwäbisch Hall, or the castle and gardens of Schloss Weikersheim are all worth seeing. Schloss Weikersheim is only one of the many magnificent castles in the surrounding countryside. The next airport is Stuttgart.
A very well-kept country hotel with a touch of elegance awaits us. Far from the hustle and bustle, we can our take time, and indulge in the culinary delights offered with excellent slow-food cuisine. Starting the day with a delicious breakfast buffet created from the best ingredients of the region is the way to go: in good weather, relax on the garden terrace or enjoy the sunny breakfast room in the guest house.
Before our Milonga begins; we eat, and at dinner, satisfaction is indeed guaranteed. The kitchen team of the Jagstmühle is a member of the "Slow-Food" group, and so the chefs focus on the traditional skills and workmanship of cooking, using old recipes and customs, and locally-sourced sustainable foods. With this menu, we are truly spoiled every night. (vegetarian also possible).
Our dance hall is located in the main building and it’s airy and bright. 100 square meters in length and with a beautiful parquet floor, the floor-to-ceiling windows provide open views overlooking the green garden and surrounding landscape.
There are two room categories to choose from:
The standard rooms "Traditional" are comfortably furnished in country house style and are located in the main building.
